HERE’S HOW:

  • STEP 1: KNOW THE USER INTERFACE

    The user interface is divided into 8 pages. It has been designed to offer an intuitive experience and to assist in guiding you through the selection process.

  • STEP 2: LOAD THE LIBRARY AND PLACE THE OBJECT

    This is a standard ARCHICAD process:

  • STEP 3: LICENSING

    Use this temporary code to activate the pro functionality for the remaining days of March:

  • STEP 4: SET ARCHICAD LOCATION

    Set your project latitude and longitude in ARCHICAD. Ensure that your TIMEZONE (UTC) is correct. Check the location data here: https://www.suncalc.org

  • STEP 5: SET UTC AND DATE IN OBJECT

    The location will be pulled from ARCHICAD automatically. Two important settings:

    • The UTC needs to be set to match the ARCHICAD project setting set in step 4;
    • The needs to be set and aligned to the 3D view sun setting (step 6)

  • STEP 6: SET TIME IN 3D PROJECTION SETTINGS

    Right click on a 3d view and click on 3d projection settings. Set the SUN POSITION date and time:

  • STEP 7: THE REMAINING UI PAGES

    The remaining functionality is separated into 4 main intuitive functionality offerings:

    • SINGLE SUN SETTING;
    • SINGLE DAY SETTING;
    • SOLSTICE ARC SETTING;
    • COMPASS SETTINGS.

    The remaining pages offer pen and surface settings.
